BALLBEE!

What the hell is BALLBEE, you ask? Well…I’ll tell ya! This game is fun for the whole family and all it takes is a Frisbee, a ball, an open area and an imagination. Here are the rules:

Players: 2 +
Age: 8 – 108
Points: First person to 11 points (2 players) or 21 points (3+ players) is the winner
Equipment: 1-mini kickball / 1-Frisbee

You can play as individuals or as teams, it’s up to you! Ballbee is really flexible. At least 2 people stand approximately 40 – 50 ft. apart from each other. One person holds the Frisbee (The FROWER) and the other holds the ball (The BALLER).

The FROWER throws the Frisbee at the baller. The BALLER then has to try and hit the Frisbee with the ball while the Frisbee is in mid air. If the BALLER throws the ball as the Frisbee gets within 10-15 ft. of him or her, they get no points.

If the BALLER is successful in hitting the Frisbee, he puts both hands in the air and shouts “BALLBEE” at the top of his lungs and is awarded 1 point.

If the BALLER misses the Frisbee, he gets no points and becomes the FROWER and his opponent becomes the BALLER. Repeat until there is a winner.

Additional Points
Catcher on the Fly—An extra point can be earned if the ball hits the Frisbee and someone is able to catch the Frisbee or ball after the contact on a fly. If this happens, the person who caught the Frisbee or ball is awarded 1 point.

Ground Ballbee—If the FROWER makes a lame throw or the Frisbee doesn’t go far enough or is way out of range, the BALLER can attempt “Ground Ballbeee” and try to hit the Frisbee as it lay on the ground. Note: The BALLER can not move from his position when attempting Ground Ballbeee.  If the BALLER is successful in hitting the grounded Frisbee, he must put both hands up in the air and shout “GROUND BALLBEE” as loud as he can. They are then awarded 1 point.

Variations
Canadian Ballbee — 2 players stand on the same side (the FROWER and the BALLER). The FROWER throws the Frisbee towards a 3rd player (at least 40-50 ft. away). The BALLER who is standing next to the FROWER must wait until the Frisbee is at least 15 ft. away and then attempts to hit the Frisbee with the ball. Making ball/Frisbee contact results in 1 point—and don’t forget to put both hands in the air and shout “CANADIAN BALLBEE!”
*Additional point rules apply to Canadian Ballbee, as well.
