Iron Man

February 8th, 2009

First Thought:

Another shitty comic book-to-the-big screen movie (along the lines of Ghost Rider or Daredevil). Robert Downey Jr. as a superhero, huh? There hasn’t been a more unlikely superhero since Michael Keaton (who was awesome).

As Its Progressing Thoughts:

Tony Stark–Iron Man’s man behind the mask–(played by Downey Jr.) is awefully cocky and sexually active for a guy with such a stupid goatee!  Woman love the green!  So not only is he rich and desirable, but he is also apparently the smartest man alive and can build anything (including robots that understand sarcasm in just a matter of days).  Despite my negativity, the movie is entertaining.

The Ah-ha Moment:

There are 2:

1). Terrorists are so stupid that they cannot tell the differnce between a guy building a rocket and a guy building a giant iron suit. They are watching him build this on camera THE ENTIRE TIME! DUMB.

2). Jeff Bridges does not look good bald…has one of those oddly shaped white guy heads.

Final Review:

Despite the ridiculousness of the majority of the movie. It is actually very entertaining. Robert Downey Jr.’s character Tony Stark is funny and likeable and Iron Man is virtually unstoppable. Gweneth Paltrow didn’t look her best…but still looked hot enough to eat. I understand that a sequal is already in the works..and for good reason. I recommend it.

Rating: 3 1/2 Magic Donkey Hats
